15-Second Brief
Hull City's Lukas Gurna-Duat has flipped his car on the same road to the training ground where teammate Sorba Thomas had a similar accident three weeks prior.

Hull City's second player has been involved in a car crash, flipping his vehicle on the narrow road leading to the club's training ground, exactly three weeks after a similar incident befell his teammate.

On the morning of Thursday, October 1, 2026, at around 8:30 a.m., Humberside Police and emergency services were called to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham. According to Hull Live, the dark Mercedes that had flipped onto its roof or side was occupied by 23-year-old midfielder Lukas Gurna-Duat, who joined the club this summer from Red Bull Salzburg. Thankfully, the player emerged from the car unscathed. Police confirmed that there were no injuries.

This incident follows the previous one that occurred on Friday, September 11, when Welsh winger Sorba Thomas overturned his Land Rover Defender on the very same stretch of road near the training base. Like Gurna-Duat, Thomas suffered only minor bruises and managed to take part in the match against Chelsea the following day. At the site of that accident, Hull's head coach Sergey Yakirovich was spotted.

Following the first incident, local residents and councillors raised concerns with the club's hierarchy about players exceeding the speed limit on the narrow lane; however, the issue has resurfaced just weeks later.
