Fabian Huerzeler praised Brighton for their unity and resilience after a 2-0 victory over Sunderland. The team managed to maintain their lead despite finishing the match with ten men.

Brighton manager Fabian Huerzeler has commended his players for their team spirit and belief in themselves following a 2-0 win against Sunderland in the Premier League.

Goals from Maxim De Kuypers and debutant Jauwen Hadjam secured the Seagulls their fourth victory in six league matches.

Despite Pascal Struijk being sent off, Brighton managed to hold onto their advantage, playing the final 30 minutes with ten men.

Recently, the team also triumphed over reigning champions Arsenal. With their success against Sunderland, Brighton has achieved three consecutive wins in the Premier League for the first time in eight years.

Huerzeler noted that the match against Sunderland was different in character and circumstances compared to the clash with Arsenal, yet the team showed resilience in overcoming challenges once again.

"I have to praise my players. I think it was a different game compared to the one against Arsenal because the circumstances were different. We faced other difficulties, but overall the players responded very well," the manager told the club's official website.

"They defended really well as a unit. After the red card, we maintained the right mindset defensively. Moreover, the substitutes who came on made a significant impact on the match.

We showed great togetherness, and I believe the victory was well-deserved. The players stuck together and dealt with the challenges, no matter how serious they were," Huerzeler added.
