Fenerbahce emphatically deny interest in Chelsea winger

The Turkish club Fenerbahce has issued a firm denial regarding reports linking them with Chelsea winger Jamie Gittens.

“Reports circulating today in certain media regarding our club's interest in Chelsea player Jamie Gittens are completely unfounded and untrue.

We would like to clarify once again that any attempts to manipulate Fenerbahce through false transfer statements and artificially created agendas will have no effect.”

Speculation surrounding Gittens' potential transfer had previously emerged in the Turkish press. However, the winger is set to remain at Stamford Bridge, having received assurances from manager Xabi Alonso about his playing time.
