Esquiel Palacios has officially joined Ipswich Town on a four-year deal until 2030, and has taken part in his first photoshoot with agent Cristian Berait.
Argentina international Esquiel Palacios has officially signed with Ipswich Town, completing a transfer from Bayer Leverkusen with a four-year contract lasting until the summer of 2030.
The 27-year-old, who is a World Cup champion and a two-time Copa America winner, has joined the Tractor Boys in a deal worth an estimated €22.5–25 million plus an additional €5 million in bonuses, making the total package around €30 million. Bayer Leverkusen will retain a 10% stake in any future transfer of Palacios.
In making this move, Palacios becomes the first-ever World Cup winner to sign for Ipswich Town. The midfielder has opted to wear the number 25 shirt in his new role.
