The forward was also asked whether the atmosphere at the ground felt more tense than usual. Haaland chose not to single out this match from the many others at Liverpool's iconic stadium, emphasising the difficulty of playing there.

“Not really. It’s always tough to play here, especially in the Pep and Klopp era. Right now, it’s important to maintain our resilience, stick together, and focus on what we can truly control,” the striker noted.

Manchester City secured a decisive away victory with a score of 3-0. Following the sending off of Ryan Gravenberch, the visitors took advantage of their numerical superiority, with Haaland, Jeremy Doku, and Ryan Cherki each finding the net in the second half.
