Speaking to Sky Sports, Anderson acknowledged the challenges of playing at Anfield but stressed that City showed character to secure a vital result.

'We demonstrated real unity and fighting spirit. It's not easy coming here; it's a serious test.

We stuck together on the pitch, fought for each other, and played well. We showed courage, and three points is a fantastic result,' the midfielder stated.

'We managed to calm the crowd'

Anderson also commented on how the team managed to alleviate the pressure from Liverpool's home fans, despite a challenging start to the match.

'I think we handled the job of calming the crowd very well.

We found it a bit tough in the first half, but we played significantly better after the break,' he added.
