Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has made history by becoming the second player ever to score against every team in the Premier League that he has competed against.
During the second half of City's thrilling 5-3 victory over Sunderland, Haaland added another goal to his account, thus marking his name on the scoresheet against all 25 different clubs he has faced in the league. This season, he could add Hull City to that list, pushing the total to 26.
Before Haaland's feat, the only player to achieve a perfect scoring rate against every opponent (with a minimum of two teams) was England captain Harry Kane. The former Tottenham star managed to find the net against all 32 clubs he battled in the top flight.
However, despite their remarkable achievements, neither Haaland nor Kane ranks among the top ten when it comes to the total number of different teams scored against in Premier League history.
The record for the most different teams scored against belongs to Frank Lampard, the current Coventry manager. Between 1997 and 2015, the legendary midfielder netted 178 goals against 39 different Premier League clubs. In second place is Andrew Cole, who found the back of the net against 38 teams during his illustrious career with Manchester United. Alan Shearer and Jermain Defoe both follow closely behind with goals against 37 clubs.
On the fifth and sixth spots are Wayne Rooney with 36 and Teddy Sheringham with 35. The chasing pack includes Thierry Henry, Michael Owen, Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard, and Ryan Giggs, all of whom have netted against 34 different Premier League clubs.
