Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca reviewed the chaotic 5-3 Premier League win against Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium and praised his bold opponents.
The Citizens grabbed all three points in a thrilling encounter but found themselves picking the ball out of their net three times, allowing the Black Cats to keep the game interesting.
The Italian boss acknowledged the glaring mistakes in his defence but remained upbeat about his players' spirit:
They’re a very good team - strong and dangerous. But we found a way to win again, which is the most important thing right now. Yes, we conceded a few goals a bit too easily. But remember, we only started working together just eight weeks ago. We’ve had completely different matches and learned a lot from each one. After seven official games, each has been unique in its own way. That’s great because we’re learning from every experience. The key is to keep learning, to grow stronger. Today was no exception, but we found our path to victory.
