Difference in valuation and format of the deal
- Roma's position: The Roman club hopes to arrange a loan with an option to buy. According to Il Romanista, the Italians are aiming to reduce the transfer fee from €30 million to €25 million.
- Tottenham's demands: The London club are under no pressure to sell the defender and value him at a minimum of €30 million, preferring an outright transfer.
- Managerial factor: Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi highly rates Udogie's abilities on the left flank and is expected to rely on him in the upcoming season, despite the arrival of Andy Robertson.
