Barnet's head coach Dean Brennan has offered Dele Alli the chance to train with the team. The midfielder is keeping fit on the club's grounds after leaving Como.

Barnet's head coach Dean Brennan has opened the doors for Dele Alli, offering the former England midfielder the chance to train with the team if he wishes to use the club as a stepping stone back into professional football.

The 30-year-old Alli currently finds himself without a club following his departure from Como, but is keeping fit at Barnet's training ground.

Barnet ready to give Alli a chance

Brennan stated that Alli is welcome to join the team's training sessions should he need the opportunity to work with a full squad.

"If I can do a Harry Redknapp and bring him back to football, like Paolo Di Canio, then that’s no problem. I’d be more than happy to do that."

The Barnet manager emphasised that he believes everyone deserves a second chance in football.

"Everyone deserves a second chance in life. We have many players training with us who are currently without contracts. If Dele wants to train with us, the doors are open."

Brennan also noted that Alli would be able to utilise the club's facilities to regain fitness:

"He can use us to get fit and train alongside the group."

Alli already training at Barnet's base

Commenting on the situation, Brennan referred to a video that Alli shared from Barnet's training centre.

The midfielder has been working individually, seeking to restore his match fitness after an extended period without regular play.

Now, he has the opportunity to work with a professional team if both sides agree on a format.

Hint from Indian club

Amidst the ongoing situation surrounding Alli, a post from Odisha FC has attracted additional attention.

The Indian club shared a GIF of Dele Alli on social media, leading to speculation about a potential interest in the English midfielder.

However, the post alone does not confirm that Alli has reached an agreement with Odisha FC or signed a contract.

Currently, the most concrete offer appears to be from Barnet, which is prepared to provide the 30-year-old player with the chance to train with the team and use this period to return to peak physical condition.
