Arsenal have officially announced the appointment of David Horsman as the new head coach of their under-21 team.
The experienced coach joined the club in September 2025, previously serving as an elite player development coach and contributing to the U19 and U21 squads.
Horsman now steps into the managerial role in the Premier League 2, taking over from Max Porter, who recently departed to become an assistant coach at Stoke City.
With a UEFA Pro Licence under his belt, David boasts a wealth of experience, having worked within the structures of Southampton, Watford, Bristol Rovers, Forest Green Rovers, and Manchester United.
“I am absolutely thrilled and consider it a privilege to be appointed as head coach of Arsenal’s under-21 team. I follow in the footsteps of many outstanding coaches who have held this position before me. It’s a great honour to contribute to the ongoing success of an academy with such a proud history of producing players for our first team and football in general. A special thank you to Mikel, Albert, Pascal, Luke, and Ken for their support, trust, and belief in me throughout this process. I am incredibly grateful and look forward to what lies ahead,”
