Captain of Al-Nassr and the Portugal national team, Cristiano Ronaldo, has confirmed that the 2026/27 season will likely mark the end of his illustrious football career.
In an interview with Vogue, the 41-year-old forward expressed his intention to hang up his boots at the conclusion of the coming season:
“It will probably be my last year in football, and I want to leave behind a truly impressive legacy.”
Ronaldo kicked off his professional journey at Sporting Lisbon in 2002, before carving out a storied career with clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and currently Al-Nassr.
Throughout his career, the Portuguese sensation has netted a staggering 976 goals in official matches for both clubs and country.
This summer, Cristiano made history by participating in his sixth World Cup with the Portugal national team. His trophy case boasts five Ballon d'Or awards and countless team accolades.
