15-Second Brief
Former Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta spoke to the BBC about the club's challenging start under Xabi Alonso and promised to return to Stamford Bridge in a new role.

Cesar Azpilicueta spoke with BBC journalist Nizar Kinsella, sharing his thoughts on the current state of Chelsea.

The team has had a rough start to the season under his old friend Xabi Alonso, but the former captain remains confident that the Blues can turn things around.

I may have left Chelsea, but Chelsea will always be in my heart. I watch every game and hope the club returns to where it belongs.

There are several strong teams around, and football sometimes needs a bit of time. You need connections, players who understand each other and play together. I'm sure Xabi, the staff, and the players will do a great job. I hope they can bring a lot of joy to the fans.

I'll be back one day. But I won't be wearing boots anymore.
