15-Second Brief
20-year-old Brentford midfielder Yunus Konak has signed a five-year contract and joined Lincoln City on loan for the 2026/27 season.

20-year-old Turkish holding midfielder Yunus Emre Konak has extended his contract with Brentford for five years, with an option for an additional year, and immediately heads out on a one-year loan to Championship club Lincoln City.

Konak, who has previously featured for Turkey's youth national team, joined Brentford in January 2024 from Sivaspor. Since his arrival, he has made 14 appearances for the Bees, including 10 in the Premier League. Last season, he spent the second half on loan at Oxford United, racking up 16 games in the process.

Brentford are keen to nurture the young midfielder’s potential, securing him on a long-term contract until 2031 while enabling him to gain regular playing time in the Championship.

Lincoln City's director of football, Jez George, highlighted Konak as a primary target for the club in the 'six' role all summer long.

The player himself expressed his eagerness to fight for his place in the team:

“I’m very aggressive on the pitch, I love tackling and I’m ready to give 100% for the club.”
