Barcelona is ready to make a final push to secure Argentine striker Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid before the August 10 deadline set by president Joan Laporta.
The Catalan club's sporting director Deco and head of scouting Joao Amaral have already arrived in Madrid for talks with the player’s agent, Fernando Hidalgo, and Atletico's CEO, Miguel Angel Gil.

Barcelona's initial bid of €100 million was swiftly rejected. In the coming days, they are expected to raise the offer to €115 million (approximately £98.6 million).
A firm refusal: Atletico previously turned down a €150 million offer from Real Madrid, determined not to strengthen direct rivals in La Liga.
