The Villans are keen to strengthen this position and create competition for Matty Cash. Their attempts to secure Emerson Royal proved unsuccessful, while young understudy Costa Nedyalkovich has attracted interest from Rangers and other clubs.

West Ham are open to selling Wan-Bissaka and are valuing the defender at around £25 million, despite his contract running until 2031.

Last season, the 28-year-old made just 25 league appearances for West Ham as the club suffered relegation from the Premier League. However, this summer, he started all four matches for the DR Congo national team at the World Cup.
