Arsenal are monitoring the performances of Monaco's right-back Vanderson and view the 25-year-old Brazilian as a potential option to enhance their defensive line.
The club's interest in Vanderson is not new, as they have previously evaluated his suitability. According to journalist Ekrem Konur, their scouts continue to assess the player.
Konur reported:
Arsenal remain interested in Vanderson. In recent weeks, the club has continued to assess the Brazilian defender and is keeping a close watch on him as one of their long-term targets.
However, there are currently no updates regarding negotiations between the clubs or any formal offers being prepared. Vanderson is still among the candidates Arsenal are considering for this position.
At present, Mikel Arteta has two primary options at right-back: Jurriën Timber and Ben White. However, both players have faced serious injuries in recent years, prompting the Gunners to explore options to strengthen the position in the long run.
This summer, Arsenal retained White despite questions surrounding his future. They were also linked with defender Ivan Fresneda.
One of Vanderson's key strengths is his off-the-ball game. The Brazilian excels in aerial duels and interceptions, which aligns well with Arteta's requirements for defenders.
