Alan Smith believes Robert Sanchez's mistakes during the match against Fulham could push Chelsea towards signing a new goalkeeper. Despite conceding two goals, Javi Alonso's side won the derby 3-2.
The first goal from Fulham particularly shocked the former Arsenal striker:
Sanchez should have saved that. You can't let in a goal from that position, I doubt even the striker expected to score.
He looked nervy from the get-go. It was dreadful. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea now weigh up a move for a new keeper. This terrible mistake from Robert Sanchez might just push them in that direction.
Following Fulham's second goal, which Gonzalo Garcia scored, Smith pointed out Sanchez's actions once again:
Another error from the keeper. He simply parried the ball back into a dangerous area.
