Arsenal and Ipswich Town are preparing for their League Cup clash at Portman Road. Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is unable to call upon injured defenders William Saliba and Ben White.

On Tuesday evening, Arsenal will face Ipswich Town in the League Cup at Portman Road. The Gunners come into the match off the back of a victory against Sunderland, while the Tractor Boys defeated Crystal Palace.

Both teams will be without key players ahead of the game.

Jack Taylor will miss the match due to a knee injury and is expected to be out until after the international break. Meanwhile, Azor Matusiva's participation is still in doubt.

For Arsenal, William Saliba is sidelined with a back injury, expected to keep him out until approximately November.

Mikel Arteta commented:

We don’t know exactly how many weeks Vilo will be out. It’s a healing process and it’s individual. We must respect the timelines. The past few weeks have had a very positive dynamic, but we need to wait and see how his back responds to loading.

Christian Mosquera's involvement also remains uncertain. The Arsenal boss had noted his progress prior to the last match.

Christian is feeling very good. We will see if he can recover for this game or the next one.

Ben White sustained a groin injury during the match against Sunderland and will definitely miss out. The coaching staff will not take any risks with the defender's health in this cup encounter.
