French midfielder Ryan Cherki is determined to keep scoring and providing assists after Manchester City's thrilling 5-3 victory against Sunderland in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old has already notched up three goals and two assists in just five league appearances this season, and added another goal in the League Cup clash against Norwich.
In a goal fest against the Black Cats, Enzo Fernandez opened the scoring before Cherki put City back in front. The hosts sealed the deal with a brace from Antoine Semenyo and a goal from Erling Haaland, while Brian Brobbey netted a hat-trick for the visitors.
Feeling satisfied with his contribution to the team's success, Cherki shared his ambitions for the upcoming matches:
I'm really happy as my goal made it 2-1. I need to support my teammates and want to provide them with accurate passes. Personally, I need to score plenty of goals for the club. I love our fans, and I'm sure they enjoyed the fantastic match today. I'm absolutely thrilled about it.
