Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has unleashed a scathing critique of Manchester City following the club's recent conviction in a financial misconduct case. The decision has seen City found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges regarding violations of Premier League regulations.
Keane wasted no time in expressing his disapproval of comments made by midfielder Rodri, who attempted to defend the club's reputation.
It was about time a decision was reached. This saga has dragged on for far too long, and I vehemently disagree with Rodri's statements. It was the club’s choice to cheat, and whatever they’ve won in recent years, they deserve to be punished.
Although Keane admitted that determining an appropriate punishment will be tricky, he insisted that the Manchester side needs to be held accountable.
