You might laugh and criticise me for this, but I would go and sign Kristian Romero from Tottenham. I know he’s a bit of a loose cannon with discipline issues, but he could be a top central defender, and I believe Michael Carrick could rein him in. They’re talking about a £30-40 million price tag for a player who featured in a World Cup final. United are in desperate need of a defender, as the current options just aren’t up to scratch.
Adam Worthington (Crystal Palace)

I can’t believe they’re not trying to get Adam Worthington. Sandro Tonali would have been my first choice, but with him moving to Tottenham for £85 million, Worthington seems like the perfect candidate now.
