Chelsea players are increasingly becoming the stars of viral AI videos this season. Recently, a clip surfaced depicting a brawl in the dressing room involving Enzo Fernandez and Xabi Alonso, which was even shared by the legendary Marcel Desailly.
Ahead of their Premier League clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, another deepfake clip caught attention, showing Chelsea's Morgan Rogers allegedly throwing a punch at his England teammate Declan Rice. Commenting on this video to the Daily Mail, Rogers took it in good spirits:
AI is really stepping up these days. Anything you do can be turned into anything. As far as I’m concerned, I just laugh it off — said Rogers.
Did I win the fight with Rice? Seems like it. So all is well!
Interestingly, the tension between the players spilled over onto the pitch during their encounter at the Emirates. After scoring against the Gunners, Rogers nearly ended up in a scrap with Rice in the second half following a hefty challenge from his fellow England international. With Rice not being called up for the current international break, it seems unlikely they will make amends before the November fixtures.
