Milan have made their move for 19-year-old attacking midfielder Ethan Nwaneri from Arsenal, joining Galatasaray in the battle for the young talent.
Journalist Sebastian Vidal has detailed the proposal that has come forward:
Milan are taking steps towards signing Ethan Nwaneri. The Rossoneri have offered Arsenal a loan deal with an option to buy for €40 million. Ruben Amorim is keen to bring the young English midfielder to Italy. Galatasaray is also monitoring the situation.
A product of Arsenal's academy, Nwaneri made his Premier League debut at the tender age of just 15. However, his previous season has been rather mixed, spending the latter half on loan at Marseille where he struggled to secure a regular starting spot.
Despite an impressive pre-season with Arsenal, the intense competition within Mikel Arteta's squad raises questions regarding his playing time. While there had been a tendency to keep the Englishman at the Emirates, this loan proposal with a potential full buy-out for €40 million could force the Gunners' hierarchy to reconsider their stance.
