Max Douman is making waves in English football. The 16-year-old Arsenal talent scored twice and provided an assist in the League Cup match against Ipswich, earning man of the match honours and helping Mikel Arteta's side secure a 4-2 victory.
Douman has become only the second 16-year-old player after Wayne Rooney to score multiple goals in a Premier League match. Additionally, he’s the first Arsenal player to net a brace before turning 17.

He manages to perform those actions almost effortlessly. That's his main quality. But his tracking back and ability to maintain intensity throughout the match are also crucial. He’s only 16, and keeping up with our demands is incredibly tough. Yet he is getting better and better.
He’s an incredible player due to his character and the passion he has for playing on the biggest stage.
Douman has already established several age records. In March, he became the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history, netting against Everton at just 16 years and 73 days. He also holds the record for being the youngest player to feature in the Champions League, having first played in the tournament at 15 years and 308 days.
