Matt Law expressed disappointment at Chelsea's lack of a concrete plan for the stadium future, with no clarity on Stamford Bridge's redevelopment or a new arena in Earls Court.

Journalist Matt Law has voiced his disappointment regarding Chelsea's stadium future.

He claims the club has failed to provide a definitive plan or timeframe for the renovation of Stamford Bridge or the possible building of a new arena.

“There is no convincing plan yet”

Law believes the current state of affairs raises serious questions.

“It's a huge disappointment given the direction things are heading. There has yet to be a convincing plan or progress regarding the stadium.”

He points out that the club hierarchy has also not settled on concrete timelines:

“Nobody has shown enough confidence to present a plan for the new stadium. No one has had the courage to set deadlines for making such decisions.”

Law also criticised the club's communication and the process of delivering the project:

“I think everything in this situation — from communication to execution — has been very weak and incredibly disappointing.”
