Marko Palestra and Emmanuel Emenga have recovered from injuries and could debut for Chelsea in the Premier League match against Bournemouth.

New Chelsea signings Marko Palestra and Emmanuel Emenga have ramped up their training and are in line to make their debuts for the club in the upcoming match against Bournemouth following the international break, reports The Standard.

Neither player has featured in an official game for the Blues since joining during the summer transfer window. Dutch forward Emmanuel Emenga made the switch from Strasbourg but missed the pre-season tour in Australia and Asia due to a hamstring injury; however, he had made a noticeable impact in closed-door friendlies under Xabi Alonso. Meanwhile, Italian defender Marko Palestra played regularly over the summer but picked up a quadriceps injury just before the opening Premier League match against Fulham, sidelining him.

Both players are now successfully increasing their training loads at the Cobham base. If their recovery continues without further setbacks, manager Xabi Alonso will be able to rely on them for the home fixture at Stamford Bridge next Saturday.
