Manchester United may approach RB Leipzig regarding the transfer of French defender Castello Lukeba.
After bolstering their attack and midfield in recent transfer windows, the club is now shifting its focus to restructuring the defence. Previously, United have leaned on tried-and-tested players from the Premier League, but now they are ready to explore younger central defenders from overseas.
According to journalist Samuel Luckhurst, Lukeba has become a serious transfer target for the Red Devils.
The Manchester scouts have been keeping a close eye on several players from the German club, but it's the rapid progress of the 23-year-old Lukeba that has left the most significant impression. The defender has been with RB Leipzig since the summer of 2023.
