Manchester United and Tottenham are showing interest in Freiburg forward Igor Martanovic.
According to Fussball-News citing Ekrem Konur, both English clubs are keeping a close watch on the 23-year-old Croatian and are assessing his performances.
Martanovic joined Freiburg in the summer of 2025 from Eintracht Frankfurt for approximately €7 million. Since arriving in Germany, the forward has made significant strides, attracting the attention of Premier League clubs.
Manchester United particularly interested
Sources indicate that Manchester United is paying the most attention to the situation.
The Manchester club is on the hunt for a physically imposing central striker, someone who can effectively operate in the opponent's box, win duels, and serve as a reliable target for passes.
Martanovic fits this profile perfectly, thanks to his physical attributes. Standing at around 1.94 metres tall, the Croatian's primary position is that of a centre forward.
Tottenham is also keeping an eye on the forward
The second English club closely monitoring Martanovic is Tottenham.
As per Fussball-News, both clubs are currently at the observation stage. No official offers have been made to Freiburg yet, but the situation may change in one of the upcoming transfer windows.
Martanovic has already made a name for himself on the international stage, representing Croatia and continuing to develop in the German league.
According to statistical services, Martanovic remains a Freiburg player, having a contract with the club until the summer of 2027.
