Manchester City agree long-term deal for Xavier Parker amid interest from Man Utd and Liverpool

According to The Athletic's David Ornstein, Manchester City have secured a new long-term contract with academy graduate Xavier Parker.

The 16-year-old's previous deal expired this summer.

Both Liverpool and Manchester United were keen to snare the young talent, with top clubs attempting to lure him away.

However, Parker has joined the team on their pre-season tour of Asia and remains part of Enzo Maresca's squad.

It's anticipated that he will initially sign a scholarship agreement before being eligible to secure a professional contract upon turning 17.
