Liverpool have made a significant breakthrough in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over the transfer of 23-year-old French winger Bradley Barcola. This comes from reputable insider Ben Jacobs.
An agreement in principle was reached between the clubs late last night, with the financial package for the deal estimated at around £100 million in guaranteed fees plus £20 million in add-ons (£100M+£20M). It is expected that the final agreed figure may slightly exceed the £100 million mark once all terms are finalised.
The Merseyside club managed to conduct successful negotiations, substantially reducing PSG's initial asking price, which stood at £145 million. Both parties are now in the final stages of resolving legal formalities before sealing one of the summer's most notable transfers.
