Leeds and Galatasaray are battling for Stuttgart forward Ermedin Demirovic. The Germans rejected a £12.8 million offer and demand £17 million. Insider from Sky Germany.

Leeds United have ramped up their efforts to sign 28-year-old Stuttgart forward and Bosnia and Herzegovina international Ermedin Demirovic.

Daniel Farke's side is desperately in need of a new attacking option following the official loan move of Joel Piroe to West Ham, which includes an obligation to buy.

According to insider Sky Sports Germany journalist Patrick Berger, Turkish giants Galatasaray have entered the race for the striker, having made an official bid of £12.8 million (€15 million) along with a lucrative long-term contract offer for the Bosnian.

However, Stuttgart rejected this proposal, indicating that they will only part with their top scorer, who netted 15 goals in 38 appearances last season, for no less than £17 million (€20 million).
