I made the right decision by joining Arsenal. I needed a place, a home to play, and Arsenal was there for me. Many people told me not to make the move because Arsenal was Chelsea's rival, but I didn't listen. I made my own decision, and it turned out to be the right one. I enjoyed my time there. We had great players, a good manager, and we worked as a family. There was a lot of love—from the training ground to the dressing room.
The midfielder admitted he continues to follow the successes of his former team and takes joy in their achievements.
I left Arsenal, but my heart is still with them. I still keep an eye on everything they do. Last season they won the league title, which they deserved. I love everything about Arsenal—the fans, the hierarchy, and the players. I still have many friends there, and it was lovely to be at the Emirates Stadium.
