Former Nigeria midfielder John Ogu has publicly called on Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen to accept a move to Arsenal.
According to The Telegraph, Arsenal's hierarchy has held preliminary talks with the Turkish club regarding a potential transfer.
Ogu, who was once a teammate of Osimhen in the national side, took to social media to express his hopes for the forward's move to the Premier League:
Dear Lord, please let his transfer to Arsenal happen… AMEN.
The 27-year-old Nigerian forward has been in sensational form in Turkey, netting 50 goals in 59 matches and helping Galatasaray secure two consecutive Super Lig titles.
However, pulling off this deal will require significant financial investment from the Gunners, as Galatasaray is keen to retain their star man and has already rejected a lucrative £111 million offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal.
