The manager of Liverpool, Andoni Iraola, has backed the decision made by Germany's head coach Jürgen Klopp. The German tactician has called up 44 players for the upcoming Nations League matches and divided them into two groups.
Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz is part of the second group. He is set to face Serbia on October 1 and Greece on October 4. This plan gives the player extra days of rest following today's match against Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium.
Iraola praised Klopp's approach to managing player workloads.
