Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has voiced his strong opinion that Manchester City should be stripped of all titles won during their violations of English Premier League financial regulations. According to Wright, other clubs and players have suffered as a result of City's financial misconduct.
Reports indicate that City have been found guilty on 114 of 115 charges levied against them, though the exact punishment remains undecided as an appeal is expected. Ahead of England's match against Spain, Wright spoke on ITV about the implications of this verdict for English football.
It's not looking too great, to be honest. Referring to Rodri's comments about them standing shoulder to shoulder with the lads - fair enough, they’ve been through it. But the trophies should be taken away from them.
Wright insists that the club must face severe consequences and pondered how rivals might have fared in a fair competition.
They should be punished for this. Yes, they survived these moments together, but when you look at the teams that tried to catch up with them, they played by the rules. It's not fair. What could Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool have achieved?
The pundit emphasised that the dominance of the Manchester side has severely dented the ambitions of players across other clubs.

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane also called for action against City but refrained from specifying what the sanctions should entail.
