Notably, the duo did not place Leeds United in the higher risk zone for relegation, with Carragher mentioning Crystal Palace and Fulham as more vulnerable. Neville, however, only mentioned the Cottagers in that context. Additionally, they do not see Leeds as contenders for a top-six finish or European competition, with Carragher instead backing Brentford, while Neville tipped Tottenham.
After finishing 14th last season, a winning start against Nottingham Forest, and bolstering their squad with newcomers like Harry Wilson, James Trafford, and Tarik Muharemovic, experts believe Leeds are well-positioned for a steady season. The primary objective for Farke's coaching staff remains reaching that magical 40-point mark as soon as possible to ensure safety and focus on domestic cup competitions.
