Piero Auzilio, the former sporting director of Inter Milan, is on the verge of joining the Premier League. According to renowned Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 54-year-old is in advanced talks with Tottenham and could take up a similar role at the club as early as January 2027.
Auzilio has been a pivotal figure in Inter's hierarchy, working his way up through various roles since 1998. For the last 14 years, he has served as the sporting director, having recently announced his departure from the Milanese club on September 2nd.
Currently, Johan Lange is handling the sporting director duties at Spurs. Previously, Lange shared responsibilities with Fabio Paratici, but it remains unclear if this dual structure will continue with Auzilio's anticipated arrival, or if he will take sole control of the club’s transfer strategy.
