Richard Dunn has re-evaluated his prediction for Manchester City’s first season following Pep Guardiola’s exit. The former City skipper anticipated a transition period, but four straight wins under Enzo Marasca have prompted him to believe the team is capable of challenging Arsenal for the title.
Particularly impressive for Dunn was City's triumph in the Manchester derby, where they secured a 1-0 victory over Manchester United despite being reduced to ten men after Phil Foden's sending off.

When Pep left, I thought they would struggle this season. I didn’t expect them to adapt and fight for the title so quickly.
So much has changed: there are plenty of new players, a new manager with his own voice and ideas. Usually, it takes time for all of that to gel. But they have been superb. Now, I think they truly have a chance to compete with Arsenal for the title.
It looks like nothing has changed for City. They've just picked up from where they left off under Pep. Everyone looks confident, and to put in that shift after going down to ten men on Sunday was impressive.
The only concern I have is how the team will respond to a dip when they might not win two or three matches in a row.
Before the season began, Dunn considered a top-four finish to be a decent result for Manchester City, but he has since raised his expectations:
Having seen four or five of their matches this season, I genuinely believe they have a great chance to battle Arsenal for the title.
