Italian side Fiorentina have expressed a solid interest in 28-year-old Portuguese central forward Betu (Norberto Belunke Gomes) from Everton. This comes courtesy of insider Nicolo Schira.

The hierarchy at Fiorentina are on the hunt for a powerful target man, one who has successfully adapted to the rigours of Serie A, where Betu previously made a name for himself during a successful stint with Udinese.

Additionally, the same source reveals that last week, the services of the Portuguese forward were also proposed to Juventus through intermediaries.

Everton are reportedly open to discussing the potential sale of Betu if a suitable offer arrives before the transfer window closes.
