Manchester City have taken another step towards signing Allan from Palmeiras. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the English club has already reached a verbal agreement with the 22-year-old Brazilian regarding personal contract terms.
Allan is keen on making the move to Manchester City, and negotiations between the clubs are now underway for the transfer.
Fabrizio Romano stated:
“Manchester City have reached a verbal agreement with Allan regarding personal contract terms — the player wants this move. Official negotiations with Palmeiras were opened last night. The deal for the 22-year-old winger is in progress.”
The interest from City in Allan has intensified following the probable departure of Savinho to Tottenham. Romano previously reported that the Palmeiras player is seen by the English club as the primary option to replace Savinho.
However, there is currently no agreement between the clubs. Palmeiras is taking a firm stance and is reluctant to part with one of their key players during this transfer window. The Brazilian club has already rejected the possibility of selling Allan after interest from Aston Villa.
Thus, while Manchester City has secured the player's agreement, both parties still need to settle the terms of the transfer.
