Emile Heskey stated that Liverpool winger Rio Nguema may follow in Harry Kane's footsteps to Bayern Munich after gaining experience at the club.

Emile Heskey is confident that Rio Nguema will first establish himself at Liverpool before being tempted by a move to Bayern Munich. He drew inspiration from the successes of Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham in Germany.

The reason I mention Bayern is that Rio will be looking at Kane, then Olise, and at how Jude and Joao Bellingham went to Germany and found success, — Heskey told Rekatochklart.com.

But the young lad will always want to make his mark where he is first before branching out.

The 18-year-old winger has made just three starts this season (232 minutes on the pitch) under Andoni Iraola, with Cody Gakpo and the £123 million signing Bradley Barcola preferred on the left flank. Heskey also emphasised the need for Nguema to enhance his contributions:

He’s a fabulous dribbler, but now he genuinely needs to work on his goals, assists, and overall contribution to the team.
