The British arm of the global pizza chain Domino's Pizza has taken a jibe at Tottenham's dire finishing. This was prompted by yet another goalless stalemate for the London club against Everton in the fourth round of the Premier League (0-0).
In an official statement, the company highlighted a cheeky statistic:
We've delivered 489,297,478 pizzas since Tottenham last scored a goal in the Premier League.
The last time the North London side found the net in league action was back on May 24, when they narrowly beat Everton 1-0 in the final match of the previous season.
Remarkably, this marks the first time in Tottenham's history that they have failed to score in their first four league matches. Currently, the club sits precariously at 17th in the Premier League table.
