Crystal Palace have completed the transfer of 19-year-old Xavier Gozo from Real Salt Lake for £10 million. The American winger has signed a five-year contract and is the sixth new signing for the club this summer.

Crystal Palace have announced the signing of winger Xavier Gozo from Real Salt Lake. The transfer fee for the 19-year-old American is reported to be £10 million.

The deal had been agreed earlier, but its completion was delayed due to documentation issues from MLS. Gozo has signed a five-year contract with the London club.

At Palace, the American is expected to play in one of the two attacking midfield positions, shifted out wide. Gozo also brings experience from playing as a full-back.

He becomes the sixth new face at the club this summer, following the arrivals of Oscar Mingueza, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Dwight McNeil, Evan Gesan, and Anan Halaili.
