Mark Walter's sale of the Los Angeles Lakers due to a US Justice Department investigation will not impact Chelsea. Financial expert Stefan Borso highlighted that his stake is small and easily purchasable by partners.

Rumours surrounding Chelsea minority owner Mark Walter should not cause concern for supporters at Stamford Bridge. Walter has come under investigation by the US Justice Department and was compelled to sell the Los Angeles Lakers to settle debts.

Former financial consultant for Manchester City, Stefan Borso, spoke to Football Insider, assuring fans that Walter's potential exit from the London club would be smooth.

Stefan Borso:

He's just one of the investors in the consortium. I doubt his stake exceeds 10%. There are plenty of wealthy individuals around Chelsea – Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, for example, could easily buy this stake if he needs to sell it quickly. Therefore, what’s happening will not affect the club.
