The Telegraph's esteemed journalist Matt Law has shared fresh details regarding negotiations between Chelsea and Manchester City over the transfer of midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
According to Law:
“Manchester City will have to pay Chelsea over £120 million to secure Enzo Fernandez. Chelsea will be looking for a replacement and may make another attempt to sign Alex Scott. They still believe Fernandez can be successfully reintegrated into the squad if he stays, despite the booing from the stands.”
Chelsea's asking price of £120 million complicates the negotiations for the Citizens considerably. Meanwhile, the Blues are exploring alternative options in case they part ways with the Argentine, including a return to their pursuit of Bournemouth's midfielder Alex Scott.
