Celtic are in advanced negotiations with Chelsea for the loan of 18-year-old full-back Landon Emenalo. The player has already visited Glasgow, familiarising himself with the club's infrastructure and Celtic Park.
Scottish side Celtic are in advanced talks with Chelsea over the seasonal loan of 18-year-old academy product Landon Emenalo.
The talented player, son of former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo, had been involved with the first team during pre-season, featuring in a friendly against Western Sydney, which ended in a 6-4 win.
Following his return to the UK, Emenalo made his way to Glasgow, where he engaged in discussions with the reigning Scottish champions and took a look around Celtic Park and the club's training facilities in Lennoxtown.
- Cover for a key player: Celtic plan to utilise the 18-year-old as a left-back option to challenge and provide backup for Kieran Tierney.
- Playing time: With fierce competition at Chelsea and the lack of European football for the Londoners this season, Emenalo is keen on a move north to gain valuable match experience at a senior level.
