Carlos Baleba and Mattejs de Ligt start for Manchester United in victory over Lausanne-Sport

Official sources from Manchester United have confirmed that Carlos Baleba made his debut for the club in an unofficial match. The midfielder started in a closed friendly against Swiss side Lausanne-Sport. Baleba joined United this summer from Brighton but had yet to feature in an official game due to an ankle injury sustained during pre-season training with his former club.

According to SullyTalkz, Matteo de Ligt also took to the pitch from the start, having recovered from a back injury that had sidelined him for nearly a year. Manchester United secured a 2-1 victory; however, further details about the match have yet to be disclosed.
