The transfer of 25-year-old French centre-back Benoit Badiashile from Chelsea to Napoli has been fully agreed and confirmed. The player has successfully given his final consent to make the move to Italy.
The defender is currently undergoing a medical at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome, after which he will join the ranks of the Neapolitans.
The deal is a paid loan for one season, costing €3 million, with potential bonuses of up to €1 million and an option for a permanent transfer set at €27 million.
Should the buy option be activated, Badiashile will sign a long-term contract until June 2031, valued at €2.8 million per year.
Napoli has expedited the signing of the left-footed centre-back due to injury concerns in their defensive line ahead of the new Serie A season.
