Barcelona are closely watching 21-year-old central defender Jair Cunha from Nottingham Forest, who is among the young Brazilian talents being considered by the Catalan club.
According to SPORT, Barcelona's sporting hierarchy has been highly impressed with Cunha since he secured a regular spot in Nottingham Forest's lineup after moving from Botafogo last year.
His progress has also been validated on the international stage. During the recent international break, Cunha earned his first call-up to the senior Brazil national team, managed by Carlo Ancelotti.
SPORT also references Cunha in relation to another highly-rated young Brazilian centre-back, Arthur Dias from Atletico Paranaense, as a player on Barcelona's radar.
The report highlights that Cunha has “established himself further” and is regarded highly by Barcelona's coaching staff. His successful development has also improved his standing in the Brazil national squad hierarchy. Currently, Ancelotti is considering him after Marquinhos and Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhães.
